Die letzte Ausgabe des Magazins.

Nach 44 Jahren wird Deutschlands ältestes aktives Magazin eingestellt.

 

66 pages DIN A5 with stories and new releases, mostly  about 50s Rock'n'Roll - german language, since 1977- this is the final issue. Older ones on request.

We have a few numbers with larger quantity in stock -- If you just want to have an older number to try, we can include one (or more) of our choice at 3 € or 4 for 10 €.

Wir haben immer die neuesten Ausgaben des Rock'n'Roll Magazins aus Oldenburg, auch wenn die nicht immer in den Shop kommen. Es sind auch viele ältere Nummern vorrätig oder können besorgt werden (Preis 5,50 €, bei größerer Stückzahl 4,80 € außer dem Letzten, da überwiegend farbig).

(Beim Einstellen waren auch die letzten Nummern 246,247,258 und 249 vorrätig)

 

Ich habe wenige ältere Exemplare in größerer Stückzahl, die würde ich als Probeexemplar für 3 € abgeben oder 4 Stück für 10 € -- oder siehe mein spezielles Jahrgangsangebot!

Wer Bill Haley oder Stargazers (also den alten Northern Band Sound) mag, wird garantiert gefallen an diesem Longplayer finden. Zu der "normalen" Quartett Besetzung gesellen sich noch Saxofon und Piano. Mal klingt es nach einer guten weißen Coverversion eines R&B Rockers (sind aber nur eigene Songs!), mal kommen wenige Jazz und Swing Elemente dazu, so das auch Freunde von Ray Collins auf Ihre kosten kommen. Zwischendurch auch mal ein paar backing vocals.
So klingt das ganze wie eine sehr saubere, professionelle Aufnahme von ca. 1958, als die einzelnen Spielarten sich zum "echten" Rock'n'Roll vereint haben. Vom super schnellen, aber tanzbaren "Hop and don't stop" (meinem Lieblingssong der CD, garantiert bestens Record-Hop geeeignet) bis zur Ballade ist alles dabei.
Mich haben die Aufnahmen so begeistert, das ich neben der nun vorliegenden CD noch eine LP "angeordnet" habe, weil ich die Aufnahmen selber unbedingt auf Vinyl haben möchte. Beides kommt in 500er Auflage. Beim Vinyl sind davon 100 in streng limitierten grünem Vinyl und 400 in schwarz. Leider sind die Presswerke so voll, das das "schwarze Gold" erst im August fertig sein soll. Bis dahin muss man sich mit einer CD in "Vinyl-Optik" trösten.

Nelson Carrera recorded his first single already in 1983 and is well known at the french rockabilly scene since then!

He moved to Portugal for a couple of years, had a few releases during the years and signed to Tessy Records in 2014. The first CD "Love is a trap" released in co-operation on Rhythm Bomb records and are partly recorded in Portugal and France.

In 2015 he got a new band "the Scoundrels". First recorded an EP as Trio without drums. Released on Tessy Records december 2015.

Here he's back as quartett with an full authentic Rockabilly sound and a complete long-player! After he toured in Belgium, Holland and Italy and on a festival in Donaueschingen the last 2 years, we're happy to see him in Reckenfeld (Greven) and Wolfenbüttel (were the Jägermeister came from) late April 2017.

If you like Carl Perkins or Johnny Burnette Trio you sure will like Nelson Carrera & the Scoundrels, too.
